Sure it was one of cold March days where you wished you were nestled in some place with a warm furnace, but this was all for a great cause! If you were one of those that braved the brisk winds in downtown La Crosse on St. Patrick’s Day, you may have noticed the crowd of people on Pearl Street.

We’re proud to have teamed with 95.7 The Rock to help raise money for The Hunger Task Force by being a part of the annual St. Paddy’s Day .01K. If you’ve ever been a part of one of these events, you know what it’s all about. If you haven’t, it’s the world’s shortest run/walk. A little over 32 feet in length, the .01 is a true test of endurance…or some like to make that claim…and it’s all for a great cause.

A big thanks to everyone who participated, because of you, we were able to raise more than $5,000 for The Hunger Task Force of La Crosse! These

funds will help that organization continue to pursue their goal of eliminating

hunger by supporting all of our local food pantries.

This was the 18th year of the St. Paddy’s Day .01k, an event that has become a tradition for many station listeners and folks who support the HTF. Events like this that benefit the community are a shining example of all the good things that can happen when people in the La Crosse area come together.

Curious what it looked like? Check out our video of the St. Paddy’s Day .01k!

We’re always excited to help make a difference in the Coulee region. It was a pleasure to join other local businesses in sponsoring the 2023 St. Paddy’s Day .01k. A big thanks goes out to 95.7 The Rock, Brothers Bar & Grill, River Valley Remodelers, Schneider Accounting and Tax, and the April Carrier agency of Farmers Insurance. Our thanks also go out to Sleepy Hollow for the pace truck, Thorson Graphics for supplying the gloves, and Gillette Pepsi for supplying some Mountain Dew to fuel everyone up!
